The success of a professional firm depends, to a considerable
extent, on the experience and expertise of its in-house
personnel and D.G. Jones & Partners are fortunate in
having senior personnel with many years of experience in
major International Projects and who collectively and/or
individually have been involved in all the major Projects
handled by the firm.
George Younis - Chairman of the Board

George
Younis has been with the firm for thirty three
years, and has worked in 7 of the Main Offices including
London, Beirut, Istanbul, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain
and Saudi Arabia. He was the Project Director on
the Ciragan Palace Hotel in Istanbul (US$ 150M)
which was completed in 1992. |
Over
the years he has been involved in some of the most prestigious
projects in Lebanon including Gefinor Building, Sofil Building,
Lebanon Hospital for Mental and Nervous Disorders and other
Educational and Public Projects.
He was in charge of Quantity Surveying and Specification
lecturing at the American University of Beirut from 1975
to 1982; and has Extensive Claims and Arbitration Experience
and worked in this field on Projects in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia
and Beirut. As Managing Director of the firm's Middle East
offices, Mr. Younis travels extensively in the region and
takes particular interest in the development of the firm's
business in Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
Bob
Cawkwell is the managing director of D.G.Jones &
Partners, the Western Europe and American Regions. He has
been with the firm for over twenty three years, nine of
which were spent overseas in Oman, Dubai, and Pakistan.
He has travelled extensively to several other Countries
where the firm has provided services. He was the Project
QS on the Dubai Aluminium Smelter Complex from 1977 to 1981
(USS1000M plus), negotiated on behalf of the Oman Ministry
of Education the Construction Contract for the Sultan Qaboos
University during 1981 to 1982 (US$ 100M plus)
He was the Project Director on the Aga Khan University Hospital
Project from 1982 to 1986, on which the firm provided Project
Management and Quantity Surveying Services, and has spent
over one third of this time since 1987 to date acting as
an expert witness on two major International Arbitrations.He
was a member of a team of three appointed by the Almahdi
Aluminium Corporation to prepare the Contract Documentation
for each of the five Main Contracts for the design, manufacture
and erection of the Almahdi Aluminium Smelter Complex in
Iran and to negotiate these with nominated British, German,
French and Swiss Contractors.
Peter Richter is the Managing
Director for D.G. Jones & Partners, the Asia Pacific
Region.
He has been with D.G. Jones & Partners for 16 years.
He is Australian and an Associate of the Australian Institute
of Quantity Surveyors and also of the Australian Institute
of Builders. He has been Senior Construction Manager for
US$300 Million mixed development in Bali comprising 5 Star
Hotel, a Golf Course and 350 mixed residential development.
He was in charge of the Construction Management team consisting
of 4 Project Managers, 5 Construction Managers and 15 Engineering
/Architectural Staff.
