Internships

Internships are a great way to learn about the way we work. Each year, we welcome talented students onto our internship Programmes. We look for students who are ready to dive into the professional world; diverse individuals with keen minds and a desire to meet challenges. At DG Jones, Interns will be given the opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals and contribute to the success of our portfolio of projects.

Graduate Training Programme In Cost Management / Quantity Surveying

DG Jones recruits fresh graduates and encourages them to join our industry-leading assessment of professional competence (APC) programme, the successful completion of which leads to the designation of MRICS. Successful applicants will have an RICS-accredited degree, strong numeracy & computer abilities literacy skills, and the ability to develop and maintain good relations with professionals at all levels.

Our rigorous and challenging structured training programme provides for continuous and progressive training, typically over a two-year period. The programme is designed to ensure that our successful candidates are trained to the highest standard in the industry. We set high standards for our graduate trainees, expecting them to spend on average 12 hours a week on independent APC work outside office hours. In return, we offer mentorship from senior colleagues, regular training sessions with an external APC coach and in-house CPD sessions on a range of competencies. Candidates undergo quarterly assessments to ensure that they are progressing on the programme. After each assessment, trainees shall receive feedback on their performance and learning objectives in preparation for the next assessment. In addition to providing technical support, we also offer training in soft skills to boost self-confidence and prepare candidates for the RICS final assessment.

Recruitment Agencies

Occasionally our internal Talent Acquisition team needs support on those difficult-to-fill roles. We fully recognize that the right recruitment agency can be a vital part of the process. Subsequently, we have created a Preferred Supplier List of trusted partners to help us when required. This means we cannot pay fees on speculative CVs or unsolicited candidate introductions from agencies, not on our registered list. Currently, we're not looking to add any more agencies to our data. Therefore, please refrain from contacting any of our Managers or Recruiters with sales calls or candidate details.

Onboarding and Induction

We have a global onboarding and induction process to help Candidates become Employees. This includes an online onboarding portal which can be accessed before joining and completing our Welcome to DG Jones process. New Employees are also assigned a buddy and allocated a line manager who will be in contact prior to starting with us. It is of utmost importance to us that our line Managers understand the requirements and concerns of our new Employees so that full collaborative support can be provided to the employees. Prior to starting, a meeting may be arranged with New Employees to discuss any concerns or requirements.
